After Hours Bar opened its doors in late 2019. Our vision was straightforward: put up a neighborhood bar that reflects the identities and spirit of our community—Kyusi. It would serve topnotch drinks, good food, provide friendly service, and a laidback vibe. It’s the kind of place where you walk in, and the bartenders already know your name and your favorite drink. It’s a truly Kyusi neighborhood bar; no frills, no pretense, just a hangout spot with friendly faces and a warm atmosphere. It a place where you can come as you are.
The term “after hours” is an idiom that generally means “after the usual hours of work”. This expression became popular in the 1800s when governments passed certain laws to regulate business hours. Once businesses were meant to close, it became after hours which gave rise to the term after-hours club or after-hours bar, both referring to places to get alcohol after normal hours. And so here at After Hours Bar, we endeavor to provide our guests with the best possible after hours experience.
Despite being affected by the pandemic just like many in the F&B industry, After Hours survived and thrived developing a loyal following from cocktail enthusiasts who were tired of cheap, super sweet drinks being peddled as “cocktails” made with low quality ingredients. During the lockdown, After Hours persevered and was one of the few cocktail bars left standing in the area.
Today, the cocktail bar scene in Quezon City and surrounding areas is thriving which is a win for consumers and the overall bar & drinking culture in the Metro.
